The Leopardstown Christmas Festival offers an exhilarating day out for sporting fans, socialites and thrill-seekers alike. Held over four days in December starting on St. Stephen's Day, an impressive racing programme guarantees the best of National Hunt racing while Leopardstown's extensive facilities have become traditional hotspots for post-Christmas get-togethers.
There are many highlights over the course of the four days, including the Benetti Menswear Style Awards on Wednesday 28th December, day three of the Leopardstown Christmas Festival. This years Style Awards promises to be one of the most significant race days in the Irish sporting calendar.
A total of €7,000 worth of prizes will be available across both male and female categories for the best ensemble, giving entrants an opportunity to showcase the best in fashion this festive season.
Fashion stylist and fashion presenter ‘Judy Gilroy’ has been announced as the judge of the Benetti Menswear Style Awards, and she will have the unenviable task of selecting the finalists and overall winners on the day.
“It’s a huge honour to be judging this years Benetti Menswear Style Awards and I can’t wait to see all the incredible style on December 28th. Having grown up within metres of the racecourse, the Leopardstown Christmas Festival has always been a firm fixture in my festive diary so to be coming back as the judge this year is a dream come true.
The Racing style here in Ireland is always sensational - the men and women of Ireland are great at going all out and putting their best fashion foot forward at the races so I have no doubt that picking our winners this year will be no easy feat.
For me, racing style is all about elegance and timelessness but that doesn’t mean you can’t add your own twist. At this year’s festival I’d love to see lots of colour, fun and personality in those outfits. Don’t underestimate practicality and comfort - the secret to good style is dressing for the occasion and that means good coats and shoes you can walk in!

The Leopardstown Christmas Festival will run from December 26th-29th. The style awards are synonymous with style and it’s the perfect day out for sporting fans, thrill-seekers, and socialisers alike.
All entrants need to do, is to make themselves known at the Benetti Menswear Style Awards’ registration desk (within the Christmas Festival Marquee). Fashion scouts will also be present on the day looking for the best outfits, ones which exude charisma and personality.
Free shuttle buses will be provided before and after racing from Sandyford LUAS, Blackrock Dart Station, Heuston Station and Naas Town Centre. See here for schedule.
